Ofsted

We are registered with Ofsted and were last inspected in November 2011.

A copy of our inspection report is available on request or alternatively you can access it online by clicking on the link below.

Unfortunately the report doesn't make very good reading. Please do not be alarmed by the grading we have been given. The majority of the areas marked as 'inadequate' relate to paperwork and not to the care we offer all our children and their parents. We have spoken directly to the OFSTED inspector who carried out the report and have been assured that she was very happy with the 'caring, nuturing environment' and that all our children are obviously 'valued as individuals'. She also acknowledged that 'the atmosphere in the nursery is calm, friendly and purposeful' and that 'Children relate happily to each other and adults'.

Priority has always been given at First Steps to creating a happy, caring and stimulating environment that is safe & secure, where children can develop socially and academically according to their potential.

We would like to reassure parents and future parents all matters raised on the report have been rectified and we are hoping for an early re-inspection very soon.
