First Steps Nursery School has been established for over twenty years and occupies a quiet location, within East Horsley village hall in the centre of the village, adjacent to open parkland, with ample free parking.
Our location draws families from a wide area from as far a field as Guildford and Leatherhead. With easy access to main roads and main line rail connections, First Steps is set in an oasis of calm and tranquillity in the busy commuter belt of Surrey.
The School is one of only a few remaining independent nursery schools in the area, allowing parents the opportunity to choose whether they wish their child's education to continue in the private sector, or transfer to state education once their child reaches school age.
We take pride in the fact that all our staff are mature, qualified and of long standing with a wealth of experience. Every member of staff holds a current Paediatric First Aid certificate that was last renewed in January 2008. We can therefore guarantee child: staff ratios; appropriate to age, within small genial groups, in our three bright, fully equipped and spacious classrooms.
